I was born in Perth Ontario, and raised on a dairy farm in Balderson, Ontario. While a student at Perth and District Collegiate Institute, I had a job working at a feed and seed store. I was a strong young man at 17 years old, but as strong as I was, with improper lifting techniques, I managed to work myself into a serious state of pain and stiffness over the course of 3 months. After weighing my options I decided to try Chiropractic, and began treatments. After two weeks I felt much better, and after two months I felt better than I ever had. I knew if I could give to others as my Chiropractor had given to me, I would be very happy in my profession and I knew then, that I was going to be a Chiropractor.
I went to Ambassador University, in Big Sandy Texas, where I majored in a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minored in Theology. While at Ambassador I took all of the sciences as electives, such as Physics, Organic Chemistry, Human Anatomy, Biology and Sports Injuries and treatment.
After Ambassador I moved to Dallas, Texas where I attended Parker College of Chiropractic. At Parker I learned many adjusting techniques, and was fascinated by the Art, Science and Philosophy of Chiropractic. I graduated from Parker in April 2002.
I worked in the Dallas/Fort Worth area from 2002-2008, treating thousands of patients, enjoying seeing them reach their goals of health and wellness. During this time I was introduced to Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.). It is the gold standard in soft tissue treatment, which I was in great need of at the time, due to some hockey injuries I had sustained. I was very impressed with the effectiveness of A.R.T. and decided to incorporate it into my treatments. I began attending seminars and became full Body certified as an A.R.T. provider.
In 2009 I returned to Ontario, and began acquiring my license to work in Canada. My wife Andria and I have two children, Katie and Logan. After moving to Nepean I met Dr. Frederick Warren, D.C. and knew right away that we would work well together. In 2011 I received my license to practice in Ontario, and began at the Warren Clinic of Chiropractic in January 2012. Dr. Warren is a great mentor, and I hope to emulate the loving and professional care he gives his patients each day. |
